Oh great. Another winter warmer. Well ’tis the season people! It’s beers of winter! What did you expect?
In what ways is it the same as some of the others, you ask? Well, it has a nice malty aroma, and a solid malty taste with prominent spice notes of cinnamon and cloves.
In what ways is it different, you ask? Well, it has a caramel sweetness to accompany the malt, and the mouth-feel has a hearty, thicker character to it than most warmers.
This craft has a good balance of sweetness and spice, and everything nice. Wait, no. It doesn’t have everything. But it is a contender. Choose the Jubelale if you’re interested in a Scottish style ale with a sweet start, a spiced middle, and a smooth but hearty finish. Cheers.
